Alpha and Omega Ministries

 Helpful resource for those of us interested in knowing the best arguments against Roman Catholicism, Mormonism, Islam, and Jehovah's Witnesses. Also a place to find great books on Calvinism (The Doctrines of Grace), KJV-Onlyism, the Canon of Scripture, and Church History.

Desiring God

 "Everything we create and distribute here at Desiring God exists to guide you toward everlasting joy in Jesus Christ." You will find a wide variety of articles, videos, sermons, and podcasts here.

Ligonier Ministries

"Ligonier Ministries exists to proclaim, teach, and defend the holiness of God in all its fullness to as many people as possible." So many great resources to be found here like teaching videos, articles, books, and so on.

Challies-Informing the Reforming

 Tim Challies has been around the longest in the Christian blogosphere and you will find numerous articles and book reviews here. My favorite part of the blog is his daily "A La Carte", a compilation of articles and videos Challies has found interesting and helpful to him that day.  

 Podcasts:


"A podcast for youth about the Gospel." A podcast dealing with all the different aspects of growing up as a Christian young person, in the light of the Gospel. 


The Dividing Line is a presentation on current events, apologetics dealing with Mormonism, Islam, Jehovah's Witnesses, Catholicism..., church history, and dealing with trending ideas within theology.

 Just Thinking-Darrell Harrison and Virgil Walker

 "The Just Thinking podcast is an extension of the Just Thinking blog and is hosted weekly by Darrell Harrison and Virgil Walker. The mission of the podcast mirrors the mission of the blog: applying biblical truth to social, cultural, political, and theological issues in our world."

 The Briefing-Albert Mohler


"A daily analysis of news and events from a Christian worldview."      


A podcast covering many topics of the Christian faith with the goal of growing believers in their walk with Christ. 


Another great podcast by Albert Mohler, though not as regular as The Briefing. It's a "program dedicated to intelligent conversation about frontline theological and cultural issues with the people who are shaping them".

Afflicted for the Glory of Christ

I’ve been reading through Psalm 119 over the past few weeks. A couple verses that have been stuck on my mind a lot and have been drawing me back again and again are these: Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your word. It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes. Psalm 119:67, 71 So often I become complacent. I’ve found that when life is easy and going smoothly, I forget God’s Word so easily. “I don’t need God right now. I’ve got this handled.” How foolish. It is at that moment that I most need God. One Week Later

One week later the Hope of the earth has risen. Grace and mercy has come upon us. The Glory of the LORD has risen from the grave and sin and death are defeated. One week later we remember what has happened. No longer is He on the cross. No longer is He in the grave. The Hope of the world has risen.  One week later the rejoicing continues. God’s mercy is never ending and new each morning. The King of all is with us now and death does not separate us from Him.  One week later the Father’s wrath is appeased and we have been propitiated. Not by our work, but by the work of the only One who could ever obtain grace from the Father—His perfect Son.  One week later we look back and see what we could not see before. God’s perfect plan is revealed to us. We see that He was to be bruised for us, wounded for His children, sacrificed to bring a once alienated people to the Father.  One week later we are now made alive by His resurrection. A Few Thoughts on My Grandma

(I wrote this at the end of a long day, the day of the funeral for my Grandma, March 5th, 2020.) Today was hard. My family and I laid to rest the body of my Grandma. It was both a sad and a joyful time. I’m so sad that she is no longer with us, but I’m joyful that she is finally home and truly in complete peace and rest. As we passed by the casket for the last time I paused for only a short time. I looked on the face that I knew as my Grandma’s. But I only looked for a moment. This wasn’t her. She was gone. As she was in the hands of our Father and our Savior Jesus Christ here on earth, she is now embraced in the arms of our God.
